Something a Little Different: Liebster Award

I was nominated by the talented and awesome blogger Conner, author of Just Passing Through and owner of the Etsy shop The Passing Through Shop (Seriously check out her jewelry. It's beautiful.)

Anyways, thanks for the nomination, Conner! I am beyond flattered. The nomination rules go like this:
1. Post eleven facts about yourself
2. Answer the eleven questions provided by the person who nominated you, and then create an eleven-question set for the next group of nominees.
3. Choose eleven people to nominate and link them in the post
4. Let your nominees know they’ve been tagged- and no tag-backs!
5. Nominate blogs under 200 followers (the goal is to promote small blogs!)

11 Facts About Yours Truly:

1. I have three tattoos: A compass star, a cherry blossom branch, and a hummingbird.
2. Lately I have been obsessed with an app game called "Little Alchemist".
3. I found my first passion when I was 18-years-old which is coaching debate. I found my second passion when I was 20-years-old which is photography.
4. I am a huge Star Wars fan.
5. I have another blog about my life living with a disease called Achaslasia. Check it out.
6. When I was little I was certain I was a mermaid.
7. I love to write poetry.
8. I do not want to have kids.
9. I hate wearing anything besides leggings. I own a lot of leggings. Black Milk Clothing is my weakness.
10. If I were to ride an animal into battle, it would be a Narwhal for the sea and a Giant Sloth for land.
11. I have green eyes.

Phew. That wasn't too hard! Now here are some questions Conner had for me:

1. What is one thing you recall growing up that you feel shaped how you are as a person now?

2. Dogs or Cats? How come?

Dogs. Because every time I see a dog I nearly squeal and burst into tears of pure joy. I don't want children, but I definitely want dogs. Two of them to be exact. Two Corgis. I'm going to be a mother of all fur babies.

3. What's the one thing in life makes you laugh, every time you think of/come across it?

My reflection! Kidding, I kid. Actually, there is a box under my bed that I go through every once and a while and I swear I always find something new in it that makes me laugh. This particular box is full of stuff I saved from middle school and high school. Like pictures, ticket stubs, notes, etc. It's like taking a trip down memory lane whenever I pull it out.

4. What's your favorite book of all time?

Geek Love by Kathrine Dunn. It involves an albino midget, a boy with fins, siamese twins, and a child with an incredible gift. I'm not even going to explain it. You'll have to go read it and find out for yourself.

5. Are you an outside or inside person?

I think I'm a good mixture of both. There are aspects I like about being both inside and outside.

6. What's your biggest dream in life?

I dream to travel the world someday and take millions of photographs. Cliche. But it's true.

7. What's your favorite past time?

Reading and writing. Both provide a great means of escape for me, in a good way. I love getting into a good book or obsessed with a poem I am writing.

8. What's the prettiest thing you have ever seen?

Last August I went to Ireland and on the last day I was there I visited the Cliffs of Moher. The cliffs and the ocean were breath taking. Here is a picture of me that my cousin took.

9. What do you miss?

All of my loved ones who have passed away. There are a lot of things that I wish I could say to them and do with them now.

10. If you could be anywhere in the world, doing anything you want, what would it be?

I would love to visit Italy and take pictures of all of the beautiful things.

11. What's the best thing you've done this year?

Fall in love with the most amazing person to ever exist.

These were great questions and fun to answer! Here are my eleven questions for my nominees CeAnn and Victoria:

1. What is your favorite word and why?
2. If you could live in any alternate universe, what would it be? (e.g. Star Wars, Firefly, Doctor Who, etc.)
3. What animal would you ride into battle?
4. What is your favorite poem?
5. What do you value most in a person?
6. How do you feel about the phrase, "Ignorance is bliss"?
7. Which city do you want to live in the most?
8. When was your biggest ah-ha moment?
9. Are we human or are we dancers?
10. Which movie can you watch over and over again?
11. Which book character would you like to meet the most?

Bryce Canyon and Zion

Last weekend my Partner and I camped in Bryce Canyon and spent a day in Zion. I got some beautiful shots of the National Parks! These first few shots are from the Navajo/Queens Loop Trail.

Driving back to St. George from Bryce Canyon we stopped for a day in Zion and hiked the Weeping Rock Trail. It was a short and steep hike, but had some amazing views.
